Sunken Bridge Yacht Club (SBYC) is a private, member-supported sailing club located on the east shore of Lake Lawtonka near Lawton, Oklahoma. We provide our members exclusive access to dry boat storage, wet slips, a boat launch ramp, and a sandy beach area.
We maintain a close-knit, family-friendly environment focused on sailing, racing, and enjoying the water. Members have opportunities to learn how to sail with other club members through hands-on experiences and shared outings. Our members participate in local and regional regattas (including the annual Mt. Scott Regatta and Hobie Fleet 251 events), monthly workdays, social gatherings, and general membership meetings.
All facilities are for the exclusive use of SBYC members and their guests.
Secure, assigned dry storage areas for member sailboats and trailers. Maintained by member work parties.
Protected wet slips available for members who prefer to keep their boats in the water. Includes access to launch facilities.
Dedicated boat ramp and launch area for easy access to Lake Lawtonka. Maintained for member use year-round.
Private sandy beach area perfect for swimming, picnics, and relaxing with family after a day on the water.
A limited number of RV hookups are available for members who wish to camp on-site during visits or events.
Shaded and covered picnic areas are available for members to enjoy meals and gatherings by the water.
Multi-day regatta featuring Hobie cats and other multihulls. Open to participants from Oklahoma and surrounding states. Sponsored by Hobie Fleet 251 and SBYC.
Members come together to mow, weed eat around boats, maintain the grounds, and keep our leased area beautiful. All hands on deck!
Annual Hobie Fleet 251 Regatta and other casual racing events. 18+ boats have participated in past years from OK and TX. Great for all skill levels.
